Frag Swap event?

How hard would it be to host a frag swap, raffle and line up some speakers and would anyone come if we did? All those types of events are always so far away. It would be awesome to have one closer. It wouldn't need to be as big as theirs. ?? Am I crazy to even bring this up? It could be in Duluth or Grand Forks or something. That'd be cool. I'm mot sure Bemidji is the best place although it would be cool for me if it was. I do a lot of event coordinating and would be glad to work on ...

Stuff for sale...

I am moving and need to break down my tank, preferably by the end of the month. I have about 40 pounds of live rock and 10 pounds of live sand, a clown fish (true), 6 line wrasse, cleaner shrimp, a rock with a few polyps on it, and an unidentified LPS coral. The rock unfortunately has a pretty healthy macro algae outbreak on it, which I keep trimmed as much as possible. This stuff would be great for someone who wants to make a sump.

In addition to the stuff above, I have 2 20 gallon ...

What a bummer. Our foxface was stuck to the MJ intake when Jason got home yesterday. We noticed the few feedings before that it wasn't going after the food like it had before. Still, it seemed OK. Guess not. It was alive last eve but not doing well. We did a water change and went to bed hoping for the best. This a.m., I got to do hold a flushing service. That's the worst part of this hobby! Grieving losses. It was such a cool fish too. We were really glad we got it. And, what is ...

I found another small one. It's not our first bout with the ugly stuff but, after hearing what happened to Val last time, I'm afraid to kalk paste it which would seem the easiest method to use. It's right next to a candy cane coral that I'd hate to stress or harm. Last time Jason took the rock out and gouged the whole area out and then we rinsed it off good. I'm not thinking that would go over well this time. I hate stuff like aptasia. Finally get the tank looking how we want and feeling ...

Ok, this is Jason and Danielle's plate that I am holding for them as it is too large for a nano, lol. It's the green one in the picture and is probably 5-6 inches expanded easily so it is a big one and is green with a purple rim and mouth. Probably looks awesome under actinics. Also likes to move around the tank a bit.

here in Bemidji we had a grand opening for Acme Tools and they had a nail driving competition and the fastest time won a Stiletto TiBone hammer valued at 229.00. I was kind of like wow that would be a tough time to beat, but the guy said you might as well give it a try.. so I did and I got a time of 1.47 seconds to drive the 4 nails. so I won a new hammer

The guy told me that ...

T5 bulb question

DRS Frag Swap!

I'm so excited, we leave tomorrow! I need way more money I think, I already owe $170 to the Meisen guy for a bunch of nice stuff and haven't even gotten there yet. I'm bringing a camera and lots of batteries so I can post pics when we get back. Anything somebody really wants that I should keep an eye out for?
