Just a quick introduction
Hi everyone. No tank currently, but that's slowly in the process of changing.
I've had, and helped set up various reef tanks in the past. But Real Life (tm) intervened and we've been moving a lot until recently. I think we're mostly settled now that we've made it back up north, so it's time to setup a new tank.
Not going to be terribly big, as space is limited in the room I want it in. (I work @ home and want to be able to watch it while "at work") Plus while I think we've settled in the area, I'll still likely need to move the whole setup at least once. And I swore long ago to avoid moving large tanks if at all possible. (about the time I had to move 10 (maybe it was more) different tanks, 3 of them 40 gallons or bigger) out of third floor apartment up 50-something stairs with nasty twisty hallways...
Currently probably going to be a 20 or 25 gallon tank over a 20 gallon sump. This will be the smallest reef tank I've ever setup, so will be a somewhat new experience for me. Well that, and I haven't set one up in 5+ years, and haven't had one at all in 3+ years. I'm looking forward to having one again.
As a new transplant to the area, can anyone clue me in on what local store options there are? I'm used to living plenty rural, so local = within two hours of Coleraine. I'll gladly make longer trips for specific stuff (and as work takes me to the cities every month or so, so where to check out in that area'd be nice too), but for just browsing around/small stuff I'd like to know what (if any) my options are.

Re: Just a quick introduction
Hi Keethrax, I am Brad from Chisholm. I have been doin the whole reef thing for about 9 months. I currently have a 29 bio cube, which will be taken down as soon as my 75 is cycled. My best advice for you would be drive to Cloquet and go to Underground Aquatics. His prices are great, and he has a lot of inventory. I just bought 100lbs live rock from him for 4.50 a lb. He carries alot of different size tanks there. I bought a 20 g from him for my sump. Take a drive there and check him out, you will not leave dissapointed. Tell him I told you of the place, Cuase I have been there so much. His tanks are the cleanest I have ever seen. His corals are 39 for the first and 38 for any more. I bought a huge rock of zoanthids and they are doin great.any questions pm me.
Re: Just a quick introduction
Thanks, I'll be sure to check it out. Have a last name I should tell them, or will Brad do?
In fact, I'm sorta heading that way Monday, but my schedule is pretty tight that trip, so may not make it anywhere extra. In any case, I will get out there at some point and take a look.

Yep. Already googled it to get the address/check the hours. I *might* manage to get there before close on monday, but if not, I'll be going through again in a few weeks, with plenty of time to spare, so I'll definitely stop in on that trip.
Once again, thanks for the tip.
