corals & equip for sale for Jan mtg

Post by blennieluvr on Thu Jan 13, 2011 2:24 am

I bought a complete setup hoping that one of a few people I know interested in getting into "salt" would buy it from me. My coworker wants it but not the stonies that are in it. She's going to start out with FOWLR or softies. (I thought I would get to play with it for a while but it's only been a couple of days and I think she's ready to take the plunge so there are a few corals that need homes.

Football size tubs blue birdsnest w/purple cap. UPDATE: I talked to her again today and she said to go ahead and frag this up. She doesn't care for it. $5 each piece and I'll try to make them big like small colonies. (If anyone has tips on how to do this, please share.) GONE

rock w/purple cap colony and bonsai SPS colony $20 Icereefer

lg green candy cane colony...40ish heads $10 She's keeping this.

And wants this to be fragged and sold instead. She's keeping a piece of it but doesn't want it to die under her care in these initial stages of getting her feet wet. It has over 70 heads on it and I was thinking of trying to get 4 frags for $25 each.

She might be willing to trade smaller pieces of these for softies? She also needs an RODI.

These are mine that I'm thinning out because they're space hogs or look similar to other ones I have and space is too precious in my little 75.

lg poccilopora colony $15 SOLD

green favia $15 (this, too, is what I paid for it...got it from Andre a while back)

20 head red acan colony $50 (the red one and pink and red ones I got from Ray ended up looking almost the same in my tank...hard to see this go but why keep 2 alike? This is the price I paid and it's probably twice the size now.) SOLD

Sorry about the pic...can't get it to resize.

5 heads brown/green candy cane $5 SOLD

Under actinics. It's just when I was able to get shots today with my sick 6 yr old...right after the lights came on.

Equipment I no longer need:
RKL Controller $65 (got it from Andre for $70 but am now using an AC Jr w/PH probe) The RKL has treated me well! SOLD

SCWD $10 NIB Got it from Nick but didn't use.

workhorse ballast $20 NIB got it from BRS for $32 but didn't use

If your going to be coming up to GF some Day soon You could have Cammie bring the piece or pieces you want and I could hold them for you.

As of right now, I have those. I might part with one later though, Doug. I'll let you know. Did the tang make it?

Hmm... Very very interesting idea. My girlfriends parents live in GF so we do go there fairly often in the winter. This would give me an excuse to come see your tank too... Cammie has a couple of mille frags for me that she's been holding since summer that I may need to take you up on the offer if that would work. I'd be sure to hook you up with frags for doing it too if that works...

What's the colors of that duncan? May be interested pending colors.

Cammie, can you give IceReefer the corals you have for me and I'll just get them from him in GF? That would work much better I think.

I just went to G.F. Saturday but my friend/coworker wants to get the tank very soon and 1) she doesn't want the tank with all those non-beginner corals and 2) I thought we'd be able to sell some corals to reduce her price so I/we might be willing to make another trip if it emptied the tank out a bit. I think jackri was interested in some stuff too.

Since there seems to be no interest in the equipment, I'm listing up on TCMAS and maybe RC tomorrow eve.

My duncan is more green. This one has bluer hues with some green and lavenders in it too. I suppose it depends on the lights you have but I threw mine in to her tank next to that it and mine still looked green.

Does the RKL come with all the "basic" package stuff? I would take it for my nano if so.

This is off their website

1 x ReefKeeper Lite Head Unit
1 x PC4 (total of 4 outlets)
1 x Temperature probe (iTemp)
1 x SID - System Interface Device
1 x Programming Coupler
4 x Mounting Screws
