Shedding Polyps

Post by seaponygirl on Mon Feb 20, 2012 11:33 am

I am noticing a number of single polyps, zoanthids, rolling across the sand in my 20 gallon tank. I have hermit crabs, assorted snails, a Turbo snail, a Yellow tang, 2 clown fish, a yellow tail damsel and a PJ cardinal. Could one of these be shearing them off their "rocks"? Will they establish themselves someplace. Do they need to be rescued? I am posting this under corals too. Any ideas. They do open when their faces aren't in the dirt. LOL

There's 2 0ptions you could get some rubber gloves on take the Zoa's out Super glue Gel, them to a rock you want them on or on a frag disc.
Are you can Just let them float and hope the Current will take them to a happy place long enough to re attach it's mat, and if it does make it will you like where it Anchored. pale
