everything must go

Post by Swanwillow on Thu Jul 25, 2013 11:07 am

My tank developed a leak this morning. The tank itself. I can't afford a new tank so I'm getting out-selling it all. I will keep the light, tank, and stand for a terrarium or something.

50-75ish lbs live rock, some corals and more than 5 anemones-$200
Misc corals- They are bleached, free
pair of cinnamon type clownfish-$30
Tomini tang-$30
Reef Keeper Light. Everything is labelled, and ready to go. Works good, may need a new thermometer gauge. All you'd need to do is plug things into the slots. $200
Misc. pumps, most are new within the past 6 months. $10
Return pump, 6 months old. $25
Skimmer-Eshopps-$30
BRAND NEW 300 watt ebo jager heater. Used 2 weeks-$25

I'm just using a 16 gallon tank for a sump.

Its Eshopps, I can't remember if its the 75 or 100 though, I bought it nearly 2 years ago.

You know Jolene is going to sell her tank. Maybe that would work for you?

you can look at the skimmer anytime.

And I've decided to go poison dart frogs/vivarium for the 75, and I'm buying Cammie's little tank, I feel really good about that decision.  So all I will be selling, really, is the rock and the tang.

Poison dart frogs would be really fun! I can't wait to see what you do with that.

I don't mean to derail this thread but does this mean that you're going ahead with your build, Jim?

Yea right now I need a return pump for my frag tank so I can throw what I got left in the 75 gal in the frag tank so I can take down the 75 gal, then fix my floor and then if I do set up the 120 it's going to be slow because I'm going LEDs. but I'm thinking of doing my own LED set up's so that's going to take a while because it's going to be spendy.

Jim, if you can make your own LED sets, they are WAY cheaper than buying, of course. They weren't too bad when I looked about doing it. I just didn't dare mess with wiring, although I'm a good solderer. I think choosing from all the colors would be hard too. Too many decisions for this OCD person.

yeah I Know a guy that has a CNC Metal Cutting Laser and I was going to have him make my heat sinks and tap my LED holes were I want them, then start watching the forums for people given up on there projects and pick up LEDs,drivers and accessories as I go, I can make my own shields.

Somebody buy that tang! I'm not ready for one even though I've got room and he's an awesome algae eater (better than a yellow!).

Ker-bumping. I REALLY need to find a home for the tang! He seems to not mind the too small tank hes in, but he really needs something bigger.

I'll give him a home, Jodi.  Let me know when I can get him.  Oh, and if you have any misc pumps left, I could use one of those as well as my water mixing pump croaked.
