Slama's 3' cube build...

Post by SlamaJama on Mon May 26, 2014 7:23 pm

Well, started my build and Ive started with the stand with Starfire glass on order for a 3' x 3' x 24"H, and a 20"W x 30"L sump (not sure of height yet). I needed it to slide and with a low pile carpet I came up with a low tech solution...I used 1" conduit mounted under stand with furniture sliders, slides like its on glass, but Im sure when 140g of water and 3' sq tank im sure it will dig down a bit, and as a precaution I opted to make a front "panel" to open up sump area for easy access front and back.
(I have pics but cant post yet) but I do have the link to MR forums

just a start...TBC

Very nice. I love the look you have going there. It's not your every day stand. Thanks for sharing! It's going to be fun to watch!
